Depends on what fish you plan on keeping. Overflow boxes are a pain, but can work still. If you can have the tank drilled, that would be better.

what do you suggest besides overflow? is there any other option if my tank isnt drilled?

i plan on keepin fish like gar pbass and or largemouth bass.. or go with rays sometime in the future.

Overflow boxes will work, they just need a few more precautions. Such as siphon breaks in case of power outages. For the fish you intend to keep I would probably do 6-8 times turnover per hour.

how big of an container would i need for a wet/dry for a 200 gal?

Personally I would do a 50-55 gallon aquarium or rubbermaid container.
