Heres the RTC, He hardly goes there nor does the oscar so it was quite funny. almost as if they were doing it on purpose, maybe the rtc wanted to eat the female dovii lol.

Forgot to mention there are 2 rare types of fish in the 4ft tank with the fat gold. Maybe not so rare in the states but quite rare here.

Cryptoheros septemfasciatus, There is a breeding pair but I never bothered to save the fry doh!

and one Andinoacara sapayensis, female and by the looks of it is about to breed with my gold.

Are these quite common fish in the states?

So Went with some cut backs... got rid of my 8x18 and the racking. then moved the tanks around again! this is the final lay out I am pretty sure.

Thinking of having 2x 4x2 in the middle of the room as a table. Not very fish related but its a huge change and you can see the fish

I dont think there is an affordable price here in aus =P

Most my tank - fish come from close LFS I am good friends with so I get discounts but nothing amazing. Tanks I get from my boss I used to work with in the fish shop so I save a bit there too, Most my tanks are 2nd hands or left over glass sheets built into tanks The only tank I got that is new/custom bulit is the 5x3 salt water tank and the 4.11 x 2.10 discus tank inside rest were just gumtree/ shops looking for big cheap tanks I can use .

Little update on the filter room I guess I am slowly building. Finished plumbing everything was a nightmare at times but its great now only issue is its starting to get a bit colder here and the sumps are right in the open!

Also finished the backyard stage 1 off. I got the pond in with my turtles and bamboo all around the fence + a fiber glass bathtub for driftwood holding and maybe next summer I will put some fish out there then bring them back inside in winter. did some cable cleaning too, what a difference having switches makes vs pulling cords out. rescaped the saltwater tank too.

Hoping to seal the 8x4 before just after easter So I will have another mission to finish!!!

Have to plumb the 550G to its sump also then start building a frame around the sumps out of insulation after that wrap it with yellow tongue + pine supports I am thinking but I will need the roof to slide off for maintenance etc. I am considering building another stand next to the sumps for water tanks I could age my water and adjust it to a closer temp etc vs the hose (been reading its not the best method). Planning to have a little controller for the sumps too maybe, I was looking at the apex system which looks great for my saltwater sump I believe I could extend one of these over all the tanks and have everything monitored automatically which would save time + adds safety.
