I agree... my arowana (silver) does this all the time- the "mouth motion" and the "curling attack motion"... he enjoys going out at the powerheads and fighting the "current":... i think that as long as the fish is active there isnt much to worry about... i didnt face a feeding problem with him when i got him but it ocurred with my oscar... i would assume it is a question of how much time he will take to get comfy and adjust to the new environment... though i wouldnt know about whether the tank should be cycled more and/ or issues regarding the oxygen levels
