now adays i see crapped out MKIV shells, with nothing go for 8+ grand. these damn fast and speed movies make it impossible for regular joes to get these cars for regular prices.

Actually I prefer to believe it's toyota reliability.. that is the reason a low mile supra TT 6spd sells for damn close to sticker price 10+ years later right? :D

:banhim: of course that's it!

all jokes aside, they are a very realible car, and it is very funny to get noticed just as well as people driveing ferraris when driveing an MKIV, 20 some Y/o's hola across the street like your driveing an exotic, and it's a toyota. LOLZ!

Go 240!

But take it from someone who would of had to ride his bike for the rest of his life. Street Racing is NO JOKE.

I had my license for 4 months before I decided it would be cool to get caught doing 115 in a 25 in an old industrial complex. Dragged out of the car and cuffed. Luckily the officer hadn't had his radar gun calibrated in about 2 years so I got off with a long lecture and 40 hours of community service.

A year later 2 friends of mine were killed when their rear tire blew out on my buddies RSX and they kissed the Jersey Wall doing over 100 MPH. Neither were wearing their seat belts and both were ejected from the car. My dad is a mortician and got both boys and I'd never seen him cry over a case before that day.

Just be smart and have fun 240 before the 300.

yeah all kidding aside. It doesn't take anyone smart to see why a nice one still runs 40k+.. toyota reliablity, a shortblock that will handle 700hp without issue, and responds good enough to mods to be a ferrari slayer on the cheap.. :)

and also- supply and demand,- great reailble car, very buildable, stock engine with capasitiy to take 1000hp on stock internals, and as of recent highly advertised. so everybody in to cars or not knows about them, and not alot to go around, therefore, any year MKIV, 93-98 will still go for 30-40k. i'm don't remember the exact number made but, it's defo not enough to give every 16-38 y/o guy one.

I used to own a 3000 GT VR4. It had a boost controller and some other mods.
Badass car and fast as hell. I loved the AWD + power combo - I surprised more than a few vettes.
BUT - If you're just looking at a standard 3000GT don't bother IMO. The car is fairly heavy and it needs the extra power from the turbos to be seriously quick. Also, parts are spendy.
