$2500 FOR THIS? GOOD DEAL OR NOT?

usually these guys go for 1k-1.5K. but like someone said. the seller will most likely get it for that price. depending where you are too. if you're in asia, chances are people will pay that much for something that rare. these are pretty rare and hard to get nowadays. the size is pretty good. based on the picture it looks very nice and healthy too. sure it might sound a lot to some of us. but it depends on how bad you want it. or maybe this might be your only opportunity to get one. unless you know theres most and can get a better price. if you really want it...get it. as someone said. sometimes its not about the money but the passion.

They have one of these guys at House of Tropicals in Maryland... its like 14" possibly bigger, and they wanted $1400 for him.

Sounds like a similar price of the one at Aquarium One in Rockville MD last time I visited there, around $1600 for a 14"+

It's special because it's expensive...and also - it seems - because it's being imported into a country in which it's illegal.

Lol, I'm so clueless about plecos. Why is this pleco so special? The blue eyes?

I mean I love it but why is it 2500$ ?

Scarlets when you can find them, which are illegal to export out of Brazil aren't even close to the same price, same as the Zebra plecos..

They are so expensive because their habitat is being destroyed, and it was once thought lost to the hobby because of pollution in it's habitat. They are rare to find in the hobby.

It's a lot of money but if you want it 2500 bad then that is what you pay for it..
