For a full grown iridescent shark you would probably need a 12 foot bare minimum aquarium.

Beyond that the aquarium you have would be great for an oscar as you would get to see much more natural behaviors than most people do with the added space. Also many of the freshwater eel and polyupterous species.

I agree with Mr Lyndsey 100%.id sharks are probably the most abused fish in the hobby. Not only do they grow huge but they are a shoaling species that should be kept in large numbers. The also need very clean, highly oxygenated water.
They really are hard to cater for in captivity and I would guess that 99%are extremely short lived in captivity, even those in public aquariums.
They should be far less available in the hobby as I've yet to meet anyone that could house a shoal of these correctly.
