Same idea as rams. Lots of cool varieties to pick from. Only concern I just remembered with both them and rams is they need pretty acidic water to be happy (I’d imagine the captive strains would be more adapted though), so it depends on what your tank runs at.What about some kind of apisto?
San Diego water is around 7.6 - harder water. I’ll ask Sam because I’m going down there today anywaySame idea as rams. Lots of cool varieties to pick from. The African dwarves like kribs or dwarf acaras are better for more neutral water.
Should be good! Only thing I’d worry about is if they are small enough to be eaten. So, I went to AFD and purchased 4 corys (I can't remember the exact ones). Anyway, my sister isn't a fan of the dwarf cichlids, so I told her she could get some kind of small tetra group. So I asked the people there, and they mentioned Lampeye Killifish Porponchax normani. Long story short, we ended up walking out of the store with 3 assasin snails, 4 cory catfish, and 3 Lampeye Killi's. I hope that was a good choice. Total impulse buy.
I have the same reaction to my planted tank…it’s nice to have a “peaceful” tank as a break from the more aggressive ones…even if the planted tanks are the hardest to keep happy lol.Loving this tank more and more! The little catfish sit on the leaves of the anubias at night! The big ones sit in the back behind the dragonstone.
Thanks! The water quality is very clear! It's been a week and by now the water quality is normally a bit messy, but it looks like they are floating on air!I have the same reaction to my planted tank…it’s nice to have a “peaceful” tank as a break from the more aggressive ones…even if the planted tanks are the hardest to keep happy lol.
Your tank’s looking great!
