This is the temporary home for my Electric Blue Jack Dempsey and my Plecos. The EBJD will go in my 30g once my Poly's are in the 225g. My Plecos will stay in the 29g until they get their own tank. Once the 225g is done and is a proven success, I will construct another tank strictly for Plecos. I have a decent collection already, but I plan to add many more different species over the years.

STOCK:
-Electric Blue Jack Dempsey Cichlid
-Clown Loach
-Rhino Plecostomus
-Inspector Plecostomus
-Spotted Rubber Plecostomus
-Clown Plecostomus

I love Plecos too. I have two Rhino Plecos, one of which is 12 inches long and about 4 inches wide. They are the gentle giants of the Plecos. I also have two Zebra Plecos, one Yellow King Tiger Pleco, one Red Fin Pleco, and hundreds of BN Plecos.

Your EBJD should do good in the 30 gal., given the length of the 30 gal. as opposed to the 29 gal.

Good luck with the plan. I love the pics. Keep us posted.

Thanks!
I love Zebra Plecos. I hope to pick one up someday.
I had a Red Fin, but he unfortunately got ich with a couple other fish a while back and died.
Also had a male and female Albino Bushy Nose, but those both died recently.

thanks! I have a 20w 18000K fluorescent bulb on the tank too so it kinda helps bring out the colors a bit more than full spectrum or other fluorescent lighting. My Clown Loach has amazing color on him if I can ever get a good shot of him.

Beautiful setup and fish! :)

Please bear in mind that most consider keeping just one clown loach to be torture for the fish. They really are a highly intelligent, social animal. You should have at least five and I'd probably move them to the 225, as a 30 is to small for clowns.

Good luck with them all. :D
