3" ABS/PVC overflow

well that looks nothing like the pictures we cam up with... but whatever... looks nice.. does the cap have a vent hole in it? cuz i think it needs one to be self starting..? and you might need more/bigger slots..

They are long winded son-of-a-B's,
but I like the fine tuning and the ease of opening/closing...
it's not bad, like 5 turns from wide open to wide closed,
feels like 50 turns...:D

She's up and running I think, I gotta keep looking in the Filter to see if the water is flowing...:naughty:
 
I like it. It looks a bit like one I have in the works (drilled bottom with no overflow box:

I have a cap with a hole drilled in it that fits over the center part to cut down on the sucking noise (it's like a durso in principle, only in 360 degrees) I took it off because the stupid goldfish keep swimming into the overflow and plugging it. With the cap off they just wind up in the sump. :p. Soon enough they will get eaten and I'll stick the cap on.

I like the bottom drilled tanks and that riser looks great...
I was having some thoughts on drilling some ports in the top of mine where the slots are.
If I can locate my taperd drill bit I'm gonna do some porting so I gan get a vortex going on the overflow...
