even thow the tail stripes are not a 100% ID its a good start point for IDing tigers

we cant debate this as much as you like some still think IT others think ST

so their will always be a unsure ID for this tiger

I agree 100%. I always start with the tail stripes and then go from there. I'm with the concensus on this one...I've yet to see an IT with only 2 definitive tail stripes.

This is a great thread...I like to hear all of the opinions of other MFKers. It gives me something to do while I'm "working". :D

I have just read the whole of this thread and TBH couldnt give a toss either way if the fish is an ST or an IT both are stunning tigers and I would be happy to own both and so would you sticky otherwise you wouldnt of bought them but in my opinion you only bought these fish so you can say you own some ST otherwise you wouldnt care either way what is was IT or ST you are just being snobby.

snobby? WTF!!!

 thats what i was thinking too!!! and all these damn snobby asian aro owners too!!! lol

seriously!... why would you guys calling me Snobby? All i wanted to know if this a wide bar or not. I bought this fish as a wide bar and expected to be a wide bar. If you buy a fish that you want you should be getting a fish that you buy.

I also want to know the exactly what fish i got. grained both fish are nice, if I want IT i would just search for IT not ST.

oh I don't own Asian aro...get it right.

We all told you our opinions on the fish. Again like I said earlier nobody can tell you what it is unless you know where it was collected.

You bought the fish. Nobody held a gun to your head. If you didn't think it was a widebar or didn't like the fish, why did you buy it? I have some prime real estate in Florida if you are interested.

People are calling you snobby because you are so concerned if its an IT or ST. If you want a ST so bad, don't go buying yourself a CT.

;)

I think Sticky made it very clear A LONG time ago that him wanting opinions had nothing to do with being snobby. As I recall, he thought this was a great informational thread and has learned a lot about Dats. He wanted more opinions so that he could learn more and make this a resource for those unsure about distinguishing an IT or an ST. He also made it very clear that he was happy with the fish he got and just wanted to make sure he got what he paid for (the premium price tag of an ST).

Calling him snobby is a bit extreme, and uncalled for IMO

wow!...being concerned about my own fish is being a snobby? well if you said so im sure you are yourself when you started aquarium and inclueless about some fish you don't know about. Take a look in this site or any other site. every newbie are concern about their own fish, then there for their are snobby to?

All I ask is opinion and point of view from different members.

Wow! people now a day...look at yourself first before you calling other name. im sure you don't like it when people call you name.

This thread was good with tons of opinion but ended with bunch of jerk bashing me calling snobby!...suck a loser:screwy:
