Will it be a dry reptile cage, or a vivarium/paludarium? You have to clarify what conditions will be in the tank.

Dry, I'd say a citrus Beardie, or perhaps a breeding pair of Leopard Geckos.

Vivarium/paludarium, I'd say day geckos, ANY kind of NA salamander (amphibians, i know, sorry), any small monitors and water dragons.

As turtles are reptiles, sliders are also always a good choice.

water dragon and beardie wont work.

leos would be good, or cresteds.

Sliders are also a big no. I would say a male green anole would be great if you tryed it:D I have one that is at least 7 years old and I cant get enough of it;) Small skinks, viper gekos, madagascar ground geckos, shield tail agamas, etc

maybe some fire skinks :)

Corn snakes, king snakes (some types), hognose snakes, ball python, garter snake, milk snakes, gopher snakes. These are all relatively good size snakes for that size cage and good begginer snakes.
yep but those will eventually outgrow it, right?

remember, no geckos.
if i get a turtle i'll get a musk turtle. if i get a snake, maybe a corn snake, but will it outgrow the 30g? if i get a lizard maybe ill get a skink. these are all just ideas though. im going to make my decision within a month

They will be good in there for life. If you look up reccomended cage sizes for those snakes they usually say 20 gal long. Ball python I would go with a male in that size tank.

i dont want a snake that bites a lot or anything. not looking forward to getting an infected wound. do cornsnakes bite a lot? also pythons kinda creep me out, i always think theyre gonna chomp my arm or try to squeeze it real hard
