300 Gallon Purchase - Manufacturer

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It was worth the money to buy that one. With that being said I still believe a 300+ tank in the garage isn't a bad idea. You don't have to settle for just one aquarium. Just keep show fish in the 180 to make it nice for inside and use the 300 for the monsters you wanted in the beginning!

Honestly that is what I was thinking. I already have a 125 and a room full of double stand 55s. I'm going to get a huge tank. I was kind of torn on the 180, but I couldn't pass up on the tank. The stand/hood is probably worth the 500. The only problem I had with a tank in the garage was that it would be acrylic. With kids and all the junk in the garage I'm certain that it would only be a matter of time before it was scratched. I have the riding lawn mower and all that kind of stuff in the garage. I could still get a 300 gallon glass tank for the garage, but I don't have the muscle to move it around.

well she doesn't care about the garage. I can put a 500 gallon in there. The only problem is that I don't know how I could make it a hang out area. I'm thinking that I'm going to put the 180 in the bedroom next to the 125. If I can figure out how to make the garage in somewhat of a man room then I will do that.

Not sure if it was stated earlier, but what are planning to stock? Are you planning to stick with FHs? FH community? (is that even possible?)

It's always cool when members decide to document their progress on large tanks like these.

I'm sure your wife would love this idea: How about an aquarium sized hole in the garage wall so you can view it from inside the house?

Now thats not a bad idea depending on location. Make it viewable from both areas.

Also for the garage being a man room....that should be easy. Close in the wall with the garage doors and put a window unit in there. Then do whatever...paint the floor...hang **** on the wall...leave you socks on the floor for months...and tell the wife its my room ill do as I please hahaha.

I like your style. I'm gonna bust out with the sledge hammer as soon as I get home.

I would make the garage into a man room, but I can't finish off the garage. Our neighborhood has tons of restrictions.
