The top looks great Eric! I like how wide/big you made the openenings in the top. That has always been a major pet peave of mine in acrylic tanks is those small holes. You planning some massive driftwood?

Probaly not anything huge for a while. Hoping to get an Arowana so I'll need open swimming space. Going with just a white sand bottom at first and see where it goes from there based on how I think it looks and the fish I end up getting. If I go with some larger cichlids or peacock bass or something they would require a different set up.

I guess I can be a bit impatient at times but I didn't see an issue with it this time.

Flipped my tank upright.

Taped off to apply the black silicone cosmetic/insurance ring. Note the wood that is being used to pad the 2 spreader clamps holding the glass in place "just in case" of a hard bump. Moving this thing around by myself is tricky and getting harder since the glass added like 70 pounds to it.

My wife grabbed my camera and snapped a few pics when I was in the tank. Yes I look like ass. It's Sunday on a 4 day weekend. I can do whatever I like.

Totally random picture but looked kinda cool. She caught me in mid air as I was jumping down to the step stool next to the tank.

And black silicone applied to tank. Overall shot. Tank and stand currently.

And to Justin. The openings on top are 24" x 28" and there are two obviously. Trying to figure out the best way to cover them for evaporation prevention. Jumping fish and still allow adequate lighting. And what lighting set up to use. Hadn't thought that far ahead in my plan yet.

Bulk heads are ordered. Along with some other goodies. They should be here Thursday. That will finish out the tank and hopefully the silicone is all cured by then so I can waterproof the tank and let it cure nicely.

Still need to pick a pump and order it. Looking at the Mag-drive 24 I think it is. Should provide enough turnover for the tank. I hear good things.

fill er up!!

Working on it. Don't think the bare wood would survive right now.

Can't wait to drill this thing and waterproof it. Bulkheads should be here the 18th.

I think I got her figured out. We'll see how it goes. Waiting on the Bulkheads to drill this thing and waterproof it. Ordered them from Marinedepot.com. It says they will be delivered the 18th but according the tracking number provide no package has been scanned in yet, just the billing information sent.

Ok. My goodies got here today so I drilled in my bulkheads and will be sealing the tank this weekend.

Here is one of my bulkheads drilled in and mounted. Up in the corners so when viewed from the front of the tank you won't see my overflow screener setup I'm planning or my return line.

In other news my Krib fry are out growning the 20L's quickly and I'm not selling them all that quick. So I picked up a 37 gallon I've been lusting after for a while to spread them out. Replacing one of the 20L's with it on my hand built pine stands.

Mostly filled.

One side of my fish room. There is another 55 gallon not pictured but it's right next to where I'm standing in the doorway when taking this picture.

All of my krib fry moved into one of the 20L's for tonight while I stabilize the new 37. I should have it done quickly. Put 15 gallons of the water from the 20 in here and moved the filter over which is loaded already so shouldn't be any different then a water change as far as the bacteria goes.

There is ONE guppy in there. Can you spot him?

And last but not least my random photo of the day. My wife feels it's necessary to grab the camera whenever I'm doing anything in my tank. So she threw the "catfish" in with me and snapped a few pics.

I really need to shave. Wow.

So that is the news. Excited to waterproof my tank but not really looking forward to it because it's gonna be a messy process I think.

Not sure how I'm gonna put a lid on this thing and light it. I'm thinking of using a wood lid with Glass inserts and placing Dual bulb T-5's of the 30" flavor over both openings. Should be sufficient light and sealing to reduce evaporation and keep the fish in the tanks.
