You should be able to do it easily for under that price.

I wanted to go 8 foot but don't have the space and am on a 2nd floor. Where I'm placing the tank can handle the weight but I wouldn't be able to carry the damn thing up the stairs.

haha yea :D i know what u mean... we are only allowed to have 75 gals upstairs... the 125 and hopefully 8footer are not to leave the basement.. :D but we have a walkout so its all good :headbang2

lookin forward to seeing how the sealer is.. keep up the good work

Awesome.!!! WOw, I'm jealous. My 155 Gallon is nothing compare to that beast. :) You guys and your woodworking skills!!

Guess I'll just learn slowly :)

More pictures ! :) hehe

Thank you very much. Hopefully I can get my Pool paint today so I can get going on my curing and testing.

I'm making some test pieces right now. In addition to the sump I have 4 pieces of plywood about 3"x6". 2 will be attached to each other with silicone only then painted with the pool paint for testing. The other will be a dry joint painted with pool paint to test it's adhesion and flexibility.

Here are my test pieces done. The one of the right has a silicone joint and a wide spot of silicone spread on it to see how well the pool paint sticks too it.

It is GE-I silicone for those that care.

very interested in the result hope it works out in your favor

As do I.

More bad news. I stopped in to pick up my paint and its not there. The girl at the front said the truck will be in tomorrow and was delayed from the snow on the passes. Understandable. But the manger saw me and knows me. He told me the Black paint is on back order until the 24th of December at the earliest.

So unless I can get glass for this thing before then it looks like my project is on hold until after the holidays. Thought I would let everyone know. Kinda bummed about it.
