Not surprised they come from Rusty. He collects and kept/keeps just about every thorichthys species. You never know, you might get lucky w/ meeki too. Hopefully they will come in soon.

Been a little slow with updates so bare with me. Synspilum are growing and getting thicker. Found out that the male does not like the color orange. Attacked the orange sailfin Molly (named trump by my gf for obvious reasons) I put in the tank so I put him in QT. I decided to grab a couple platties to go with the three remaining mollies in the tank and one happened to be orange. Turned the lights on the morning and the male ripped apart the orange platty right in front of me and killed him when he saw it. Little surprised
Thanks! The male in he second picture has got some great color so far I love him. The blue eyes are pretty cool as well. Will try and get s better picture of the pair soon but they are very skiddish when I get too close to the tank
A little update for everyone. Syns are getting chunky. The male is growing nicely and is the boss of the tank. Has some really great color too. Hard to see with the night time lighting but it’s when the fish are most calm.
Mollies are out of the tank. Added 6 meeki and looking to up the number to 10. Also added 3 Denison barbs. Only way to keep the gf involved with the tank. Wouldn’t be stop staring at them at the store asking to get them. If only she paid for them...
Also have 7 Congo tetras growing out. I think that will be all for now. I tried to keep it call close to Central American stocking but the black ruby barbs and the Denison barbs (both the gfs picks) are the only outliers. I would like to have the pasionis at some point but down want the tank over stocked. I do love all of the movement of the schooling though which is nice. Enjoy

Thanks everyone. Im glad I finally picked up some meeki. cant wait for them to grow. Anybody have any idea on how long it will take them to reach full size? Ive heard they are slow growers.
I always wanted Denison barbs and always passed on them because of the price. I wouldnt have gotten them for the tank since they do not go with the geographical stocking but my gf loved them so I told her if I get them she can never harass me again about putting fish in that she likes lol.
