10 degrees... :nilly: It actually has warmed up today, It's ~45 out right now and supposed to stay in the mid 40's all week.

It wasn't cuz I was stubborn; it just went from 35 to 10 in a real hurry before I finished doing what I needed to do outside. It's a good thing I got'er done cuz it didn't take long to go to -40 from there!

Looking forward to your updates. Holiday builds are the best!

man u guys make me feel like a wuss sitting here with my jacket on while its a sweltering 55 deg lol. I don't know how you do it but salute you cause I don't think I could

 55 is shorts and t-shirt weather my friend. In fact last Friday was the first day I've worn pants instead of shorts since last March, and that was only because it got below freezing. Our average temps in the summer are probably around the 68-74 area. We usually get a week or two of 80+, and 90+ happens maybe once or twice a year.

Wont be any updates tonight, I need to do water changes on some of my tanks. :nilly:

Maybe on your side of the state. I get a few weeks of 100+ here and all last week was 0-10 degrees.

The difference between eastern WA and western WA is like night and day. You guys get way more heat in the summer and way more snow than us. Actually even Seattle gets colder/hotter than where I live. The Islands really have their own little climate system compared to the rest of the state.

im thinking of taking my jacket of its about seventy now but maybe i will wait a little longer. lived in washington for three years while in the military (ft lewis) on average it was colder but i never really got colder than it does here. went to yakima for three weeks and that was pretty darn miserable for me and it was cold

So I've been emailing with Perma-dri and they are telling me that I will need a Min. of 6 gallons and 7-8gal preferred for my build.... That seems like a lot and makes it even more expensive than Pond Armor. :irked: So now I'm not sure what I'm going to do to seal my tank and sump...

Blue Max, West Systems epoxy, Polyurea, Zavlar, Polyester (Fiberglass), Sanitred, etc. There are many possibilities cheaper than that.

6 gallons of anything is a ridiculous amount for a tank this size.

The guy was telling me that it will only cover 20 sq ft per gallon at the max, their website says 20-30sq ft... Both numbers seem a little low compared to what the guys using the Zavalar are getting as far as coverage goes.

I think I'm going to go with something else though, It's taking them 12+ hours to reply to e-mails and they haven't returned either of my phone calls. I'm not impressed with their customer service thus far. :irked:

BTW unless I'm missing something, West Systems epoxy MSDS specifically states it is toxic to fish/aquatic creatures.

Update...

So at about 7:30 and I finally get out in to the garage to get some work done on the stand. I get started on the vertical posts, and I get one corner done and then bam, smoke and bad smells... I let the smoke out of my electric drill. :( Guess I'm making a trip to home depot this weekend.
