nitrite.. purple..I honestly never worried about the number, I haven't tested positive in a cycled ...I Would take Sean's word for it on this one

So far I have been doing the wc every other day and the ammonia would be hitting the .5 mark every two days but for the past 4 days it is staying below .5 so I havent done wc I would thougjt that maybe nitrites would have shown up but still 0. Is this normal ?

Yup, happened with mine to. Ammonia will fall to zero pretty quick then nitrites start to rise.

Tell me about it. It'll be over soon enough though, I thought the same thing with my 75 even after I put the Danios in since they just swim around scared all day but then I got my cichlids yesterday and it made it all worth the wait?
