400 gallon plywood build

I am still trying to figure out mt filtration. I am thinking of running 2 bulkheads into some sort of large sump. What would be the best locations for the overflows. I see some put them a third of the way down the tank. What do you think?

I decided to order 2 of the returns at the same time I ordered the bulkheads and strainers. I guess I will check them out when they get here. I am ready to apply the epoxy paint, just need to pick the right day to evacuate the family.

First coat has been applied. Going to be doing 4 or 6 coats alternating between gray and black.
