Cooling the bit will help keep the teeth from heating up and deforming like that. Other than that maybe slow down a little. Those bits should last for several holes at least.

I always douse the bit when drilling on acrylic 1/2" or thicker, the thin stuff I don't think its necessary. Wet drilling is a good method for any kind of drilling where excess heat can deform the bit or compromise the material. Tile, stone, glass, acrylic, metals always a good idea to keep the bit cool.

I always use a rubber sleeve with 2 pipe clamps instead of a rigid barrel union to attach my pumps. In Australia we call these DEKS fittings. The rubber flexibility makes it much easier to align finicky pipe work, it's a lot cheaper and dampens pump vibration & noise.

she’s running though!

used water from 125/150 as my big tank may have bad water inside....
