  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Did you use double seam silicone for the front glass? Did the silicone adhere to pond armor well? So nice!
So, for the glass install I roughed up the pond armor were the glass would be laying and took a tack rag to it to clean up the dust. Then I put a thick bead of silicone in a "Z" pattern so when the glass was placed it would spread to cover the entire contact area. After the glass was in place, I took and put a bead along the edge to the pond armor as well. It took 2 tubes of silicone per window.

Got some more tank members in!

My local fish store down here in Houston. Huge shout out to Aquazoo!!! I went to pick up the Arowana, let them know I wanted bichirs, they called they're supplier right there and gave me a list of what they could get for me this week. Simply awesome shop! If in the Houston area, highly recommend. I drive over an hour to get my fish from them.

Is this where your 500#s of sand is going? Looks great so far.. definitely jealous of your LFS too. What are you planning on doing for lights?

Yes, this is where the sand will be going. Lighting I have a single 48" Finnex 24/7+ that will light one end of the tank. Going to tie some plants to the drift wood and put some vals in with my corner I have planned. The other end will stay dark for the time being. Will see how the fish react to it.
