JK47 JK47 11 days since the last update? I’m chewing off my finger nails here waiting :) so excited to see what you do.

I’ve been sick the last two weeks and haven’t been able to work on it. I’ll get back at it when I get over this

Whoever drilled these towers sucks and drilled the holes uneven by 1” in height.

I’m fixing it by replicating the mistake on the opposing ends. It looks intentional evenly staggered.

I decided to use the top as returns and wanted the extra flow from the bottom so this is worth doing.

I think it came out pretty good. I was hoping to restore some symmetry.

Just got done buffing both towers. The back wall is new acrylic so this buffing will make them match/blend better

I still need to clean out the teeth on the towers but otherwise the background is finished.

Time flip the tank, reinforce the back and buff the interior...
When I hit the Lotto, i will fly you to wherever I’m at to set up my tanks! Your set up is more beautiful than the fishes you keep! And they are awesome!

Haha thank you!

Flipped the tank to reinforce the front interior corners and the back exterior.

The acrylic is reinforcement is all done. Drilling the roof for returns next.

Drilled the pilot hole in the black acrylic panel and finished from the inside.

Now the roof has four holes for 3/4” bulkhead fittings centered 1.5” in.

I like to do thread x thread bulkheads mounted upside down. It saves space on top of the tank and saves on loc line.
