  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lookin good, nice work! Id lose the foam underneath...my 450 just started leaking due to the corners of the foam getting smashed down over the yrs. Out of 7 acrylic tanks this is the only one ive ever had a leak on and also the only one on foam.

Thanks. I don't know if I could ever do an acrylic tank without foam under it. Was the 450 sitting completely flat on the foam or was there a gap between the corner of the tank and the foam?

Tank looks great BOb!
Im jealous you could put this together w/ leftovers.

Thanks gangster. Wait till I get rolling on the stand this weekend.:D

After 4yrs of wear and tear, the foam started crushing at the front corners of the tank creating gaps underneath. Ran for 4 yrs like this but after closer inspection the cause of problem was clear. Y chance the tank shifting if the foam fails when its not necessary in the first place. Very easy to puncture the foam during install or every day matinence and thats what led to sections of mine crusing over time. I was a firm believer in foam being o.k. for acrylic until now haha...

Looking great. Can't wait to see some water in that bad boy!

It sucks having to do something's by yourself. Hope you don't have one of them tricky backs!!!!
