$500 It was an impulse buy, the price was so good I couldn't pass it up. But in retrospect I wouldve rather just spent the $$$ and got new glass. I wouldnt have lost as much sleep due to failed test fills....

(6-8??)- Endlis... I dont keep count anymore

A handful of Gambusia are in there for now, I started with around 400
2 tadpoles, there was 50 or so last weekend
and 1 med size cray that my ST spit out and snubbed last week. My big endli will eat it when he gets around to it.

I am still planning others, an aro, or 3-5 maybe in the future. I dont want to rush into it.

Great looking Moster tank mate.
That's the same size tank as I am having made (500g) only mine will be 2.5 high and 3.5 wide.
I am a bit worried now looking at your filteration set up because I am going to run two FX5's on my tank.
I look at your set up and think ONLY two FX5's is that enough filtration!!
And I haven't thought about drilling or not.
Any advice??

I only went this route because I rent.

When I own, the filters will be in the next room, or the garage, or outdoors. If you want to do it right, and have the $$$, drill through the walls and get a multiple cartridge filter followed by an ultima bead filter, or the equivalent.



I dont like plumbing going over the sides of the tank, my preference will always be to drill

If you are set on the FX5, consider using those two and adding an eheim 2080.
