You think three canisters??
I think it might be to messy.
Why not three Fluvals?
Why did you pick the 2080? They are very expensine in OZ.
Sorry about the questions mate I need to pick your brain as I am flying in the dark bro when it comes to this size and volume.
Maybe I'll have intakes drilled for the canisters....
How much did your filtration cost?

It depends on your stocking really and how much water movement you are aiming for.
I suggest the 2080 because they are biological filtration powerhouses. FX5s are supposed to be mechanical powerhouses, I think the 2080 compliments it nicely.
There is another member with a current thread on his 570 gallon tank, superdave. I believe he has 4 2080's on his tank. You might want to pick his brain too. There is still another member, koop171 setting up a 500+ tank currently.
2080's are a handful of $$$ here too.
Theres a lot of info out there, dig through it, sort it out, and make a decision you are comfortable with; youre the one who has to live with it.
I dont know how much the filtration and plumbing cost off the top of my head. I know it wasnt cheap, ballpark is in the 1K area
Nice job finally getting this thread up. I have seen this tank in person and it is truly massive. The driftwood is completely hollow through the middle and it looks great. All of the headaches and months of work you did on it is worth it. Now you just need some top/mid level monsters in there.
The polys stay in the log until after the MH's go off at 930pm pacific time. I have an early flight out for work tomorrow so I wont be up to see it. I will get some pics when I get home later this week.
I will be somewhat embarassed to post close up pics because some areas of the glass are really bad
