523 gallon plywood build (pic heavy)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Figured I'd post a 1 year update since I don't see many updated tanks on here I know people like to see the longevity of plywood tanks so I'll try and update every 6 months to a year :) Tank is doing very well absolutely no issues with thr tank at all, everythign is automated so all I have to do is feed them. The only difference now is I started a hot water drip so I no longer need to use heaters! Tank went back to africans after getting piranhas that came in with mouth rot :( :( Just gonna keep this layout for the longhaul now.

Thank you aislin, it's good to see your tanks still up and running issue free as well, I just wish we saw more people update their plywood builds to see exactly what kind of lifespan people actually get out of them.

i was checking out your tank , very nice by the way , but i was wondering how much water do you lose a day for like evaporation ??

Thank you, as for evaporation I would only be guessing TBH. I use a drip system so I never have to fill due to evaporation. The lids do a tremendous job keeping water in so all in all it's probably not much at all as I don't even get humidity on the windows after a cold night.
