Actually, it is 12" TL. The view is angled so it appears to be 11"
I measure all fish with normal fins using TL. SL is not used as widely thus I report TL instead.
In my experience, irridescent sharks seldom reach 3+ ft in home aquaria. The largest I've ever seen was 30".

It's nice to see someone go with all the old school American cichlids and keep it nice and simple. Most people get those huge tanks and always fill it with the same thing.. It's nice to see a community of cichlids in an appropriately sized tank! Awesome Work!
