55 gallon, pleco

Will a pleco like completely demolish driftwood in a few months? And how much is your average king tiger?
Again, it depends on the type of pleco. Some will hardly touch it and others will live off of it. Since you mentioned King Tiger in your post. I don't they will mess with it too much.

To be honest I'm not sure now much the king tigers usually go for. I got mine at my fish club auction for $20. Wetspot Tropicals has them listed for $50. Mine do chew on the wood but I wouldn't say they decimate it. Although they do leave a mess but plecos in general are messy lol.

As stated before, it depends on the species of Pleco. My 10" common Pleco never touches my driftwood that I know of. I worry more about my bgk pecking at the wood than the Pleco.

L66 king tiger pleco. They only get to about 5". I have 2 in my 55.

oooh, he's pretty.....I never seen them available

All you have to do to keep Plecos from screwing w/ your décor is submerge piece of Romaine or Zucchini with a rubberband and a small rock.

Like any fish, keep it well-fed and it won't eat things you don't want it to
