55 gallon tank fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't think there was ever a fog surrounding the legality of exodons, since they are clearly not piranhas under anyone's definition of piranha, but anyway, a good suggestion for a predator for a 55 gallon tank would be a cichlid of some sort, since you said you wanted something that is easy to care for. I'd go with something jack dempsey or Paratilapia polleni.

Ill get those also. Good suggestion.

I'd go with the flowerhorn IF you can get good quality Fh that arent over priced like the big ones at MP. or the crappy small ones that you see everywere else for like 20+ bucks. otherwise exodons are good. Theres that pet store by wards not sure whats its called but they got some polleni's last i seen.

OSCARS its like a underwater sea dog they are nuts oh are you going to cycle your tank? also his is a shot of my tank :D do you even know what cycle is i should ask first just wondering oh were was i oh yer here is my oscar....

Yeah, about the underwater sea dog thing. From waht my cousin said, they make alot of waste and cloud the water fast. For the filter im thinking i should go with the silent giant and run an underwater filter as well as a in tank filter. Do you think an oscar can really fit into a 55 or 60 gallon tank? They get pretty damn huge.

Ok three things that a must with oscars

1. Do water changes at least twice a week

2. Good Diet

3. Good Filtertion

as for a oscar fitting in a 55G or 60 that is my size tank and as long as you do those 3 things oscar we be fine.
Underwater filter do you mean those filters that go under the gravel if so not nesscery as one GOOD filter will do the job i hope this helps and good luck if you want to know more you can ask me or RedDevil she is very helpful she helped me out so much or you could ask TheMightyOscar :D so yer hope this helps.

Good Luck

P.S do you know about the cycle thing and also research on oscars every little bit of info helps :D

im not too big of a fan with puffers, and when I think about it, i dont really want the exos either. Sadly im not a fan of piranah-looking fish. We had 20g tank with puffers in it before. there was nothing that special about them to me. No offense to all of the puffer lovers out there.

I agree. The Exodon paradoxus are nice to look at.
