55 gallon tank fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Would a FH really fit into a 55? If it is only a female, then forgert it cause they just look like regular fancy chichilids to me. A FH, Bichirs, red devils or an oscar are the top choices right now aside from alot of other fish in the tank like a few pearl gouramis, sharks, loaches, corys, angelfish, etc. I might even get a bigger tank like a 75 or 100gallon from glasscages.com or by searching on craigslist. If i do get another 100+ tank, i will get another aro or something.

rope eel don't get that big...18" max. oscars will get to big for that tank and the red devil to. my oscar grew 10" in 6 months.

Okay. Im most definetley getting an oscar and getting another bigger tank, or keeping this and getting some bichir or another calmer fish. Sorry DABoepple, but i have to agree that oscars and especially red devils get way too big to keep in a 55g. No rope eels either. I want to keep plants also so the oscars are out of the picture. Does anybody know who can tell me where I can buy a 75 or 100g tank that is at a very good low price? Im spending too much money on fish and not my feonce' or car.

it''ll be alot cheaper in the long run to build a pond......i lived in waipahu and i built a pond and all my tropical fish did fine, were you live bra?

Big island cuz. Kinda hard cause i stay in waimea. Lakeland to make matters even more worse. Lowest it got here was 50 degrees outside and thats in the summer at night. Instant mak'e for the fish unless you get a heater. True it will save money but id rather my fish be in my house for me and my girlfriend to enjoy.

shoots, i don't know anybody from the big island that has a tank or any LFS on the big island.
