That is the basic design and there's nothing wrong with it. There are some tweaks that each person may choose based on some different desires / needs. I personally like at least some other form of mechanical filter (like a sponge) somewhere between the filter sock and the bio media. You don't have to have that, but I like the idea since socks can clog and over flow and since bio media works better if it's clear of debris. This design can accommodate a sponge right under the first baffle (under the filter sock) or in the gap upwards between the first and second baffle or, right along the top over the pegboard. The first methods two seem pretty popular.

Again, it's a tweak.

Since your media is going to be submerged, I'd recommend something like seachem matrix. Others will be able to offer input on that.

I had a question il have two filters socks and between the first and second wall il stick some sponges or those house hold sink sponges. Or il take some of those sink sponges and pile them in the first slot till the bottom of the filter socks. Or In the 4 slot. What do you think.

This is an example. I'm sure there are plenty others, but the key is to have it fit well enough so the water goes through it, that it's inert (will not breakdown or create chemistry changes, especially not SOAP or anti bacterial chemicals) and that it's not too expensive. Large pieces that can get cut will work, or ones you can push together to limit the water from going the sponge. Ones made out of plastic can easily be rinsed and put back in place from time to time (but be sure to rinse in tank water not tap water.)

I was thinking of useing Laguna max flo 2900 to go to the 4 return pipes.

Just don't forget to take into consideration you head height loss ( distance from pump to were the water exits into the tank) And also there was a article I read that said what size of pipe is capable of carrying "x" amount of GPH,nd rather then have 4 returns ya could always just do one spray bar across length of the tank for good circulation, and surface aggitation I have one and it filly adjustable to point to the surface or right to the bottom ya can basically turn it to whatever dIrection is needed to optain what ya want or need
