Did a youtube search. The herotilapia multispinosa are really cool! Jeff rapps has them listed as archocentrus multispinosa. Same fish?
thank you for the information!
I will for sure! Im starting to lean heavilly towards the archocentrus or herotilapia multispinosa whatever they are. They seem to be relatively peaceful. What else could i keep with them to sort of fill in the space? Also i have seen tanks on youtube with multiple pairs but they are probably much larger than this tank. Would two pairs be a possibility? Probably not enough territory in the footprint huh?
You can only do 1 pair in the 56 gal and maybe some danios
i honestly dont see a problem growing out a few salvinis in the 56?? as long as you upgrade within a few months to 5 months, heck you have about 10 months.. they grow at about 1/2 inch a month ( well 1 inch a month tell about 4 or 5 months then slow down. )
IMO two pairs should be fine, given enough hiding places
To the op, u can also do a trioand yea the archocentrus is the same fish. They changed its name a few years ago and some ppl just call it herotilapia out of habit

so they won't kill the third wheel when they breed?
I'd say no, just cuz these fish seem like they are very peaceful. But, just to be on the safe side, give them ample hiding places which will also make them happier
