Yes. But, there must be more light for a really clear shot. At f/11 would require a slower shutter speed and/or more light. Plus, you must lower the shutter speed to a slow speed for a proper/close to a better exposure. f/22- Wide open

Flash: sb-900 shot in remote mode.
TTL BL (Through The Lens) +0.7
shutter speed 1/200
If I was to shoot the same photo with a lower f/ stop and a slower shutter speed, everything would have shown up.
