Thanks mate.Its been a long journey of waiting over 4months since paying for these SRT's and having too endure this wait plus several shipping delays is not pleasant.

Still have faith they will arrive safely but just not sure when.

Something odd about TNT as iam sure they have policy of agreement too ship live fish so not sure why they collected it and agreed to the shipment then returned the package 2hrs later.I mentioned this too the transhipper, Jan. If anyone knows if TNT has a policy for sending live fish please could you forward this, Thanks!!
 
Im being screwed here for this transhipper.Im almost 100% certain.

Hes now requesting an extra 339,57 euros after the 1st failed tranship from Germany too Scotland. That is an extra 542usd so a total of 992usd of just tranship costs. The Srt breeders were 350usd, total cost 1342usd.

I could be wrong and hes managed to get the intial 450usd tranship cost back from TNT and hes asking for an additional 90usd on top of that.

Another thing that made me suspicious was he said would be sending them to Edinburgh airport and I would have to pick them up when he knows my address is in Glasgow.

The best bit is no airports in Scotland accepts live fish imported since ive spoken to Scottish Gov and filled out paperwork etc and the closest was Manchester airport which is not in Scotland.

So either hes talking Bs or hes trying to sneak the Srt breeders through illegally and hoping i go to Edinburgh airport and somehow dont get caught. Theres no way the live moving fish are going to get past those Xray scans.

As soon as they see them they will confiscate and kill them so that in itself is too much risk.

In his email it said no risk, here it is just received :

Hi,
i find a second way with nothing of risk.
But than you must go to airport and take the paket out.
Dont worry it will be all saved with no risk.
The problem is that it can be a little bit more cost.

I guess the lesson learned here is should always trust your gut. Had a bad feeling about all this since end of July when me and Pat couldnt find a transhipper.

When we did find the first transhipper, Pat was out of town and could not send. For the 2nd transhipper well this is the 3rd delay already.

Ive actually said to Pat, sorry but i have waited n waited and now wish to cancel the order and get a refund.

I said to Pat/Rainnybetta i be happy to let him keep 10% or so of the payment just for his consistent communication.

Pat then would always encourage me too wait and he would find a transhipper. I trusted him but shame about the transhipper.

Wont name and shame full details yet just incase there is some miscommunication somewhere.

Although it is not looking good since if i dont pay the extra amount there is no other option to send them too me so Im hoping the transhipper does not end up keeping his 450usd tranship cost and also the SRT's.

couldnt you just tell them to hold on to the fish till feb?
then get that other transhipper to bring them over to you?
it judt makes me angry!!

Thanks for your support mate, appreciate it :)

Think i will know for sure what the deal is within the day, just awaiting the transhippers reply.

Pat/rainnybetta is a good guy, alot of folks here have dealt with him over last couple years and not a single complaint,neither myself but if worst comes to worst I will have to request a full refund from Pat himself and we will see if he will honour that dispite 4months of msn customer service and lots of emails :)

Nice idea Dean but the German transhipper would still need me to pay extra too be sent over here whether to me or to the Uk transhipper.

So in a nutshellthe German transhipper is stuck with the SRT breeders for now unless i make the additional tranship payment. Theres no way hes going to send them back to Pat out his pocket.

I reckon i have paid enough for tranship and i should not be responsible for his fault with regards too choosing TNT in the first place.

Also sending live fish to an airport that strictly prohibits this and will kill the fish if seen is rather careless of jan.These actions reek of not a care in the world if the Srt's make it alive too me or not.

The irony was when i was sending him emails to give advice in transhipping jan replied that had 10years of experience and he knows what he was doing.

Yeah thats the Thai supplier who ive had no issues with whatsoever. Hes a great guy, when i email him to chat on msn he will be there.

Its the transhipper that he has sent it too in Germany thats making me uneasy.

He has many cards to play, hes in control.

Best option, just refund my 450 tranship cost but then what does he do with the SRT breeders.Cant send anywhere with no payment and if Pat doesnt receive them back then will Pat refund my 350usd SRT payment.

He can keep requesting me to pay extra for the tranship costs and risk sending live fish to an airport that dont accept live fish and will
terminate them when found.

He can say screw it, i will keep the 450usd tranship cost and not bother since I wont be making any additional tranship cost payments.

The worst is he will keep both Srt breeders and also tranship cost and Pat ends up not refunding me and Iam out 800usd about 500pnds.

Iam prepared for the worst this time.Learnt the lesson of feeling excited, upbeat for the last 2 months of expecting the SRT's too arrive and then to have them delayed again and again and again.

Anyways hows your tx/syn hybrid fries keeping?? The parents still chasing away that Jag and arowana ;D
 
I am truly gutted for you Sick08. It has turned into a nightmare, and is not your doing.
Just hope something reasonable can be worked out :(

Just received a reply from him, he basically said he will attempt another shipment on Monday and said dont worry he will get them over here somehow. Very vague answers considering the questions i had asked before about why he was requesting furthur payment and also on why he was about to send live fish to an airport that doesnt accept live fish. Guess will have to wait and see but talk about a rollercoaster ride ...!! I use to like rollercoasters as well ;(
