dont you wish they would just do what they said they would at the first place lol. then all of this headach wouldnt have benn needed haha.
if all goes bad (hopefully not though) i will keep my eye open for some srts for yot mate.
now a question for you, my fish that have just breeded, could the coulour of the parents mum come out in these babies even though parents have non in them?
what i mean is the parens of the fish that havr just bread are a male tex and fdemale syn, there babies have non of the colour of the mum in them, now they have bread and just wondering if the mothers colours come out in her offsprings offspring if it makes any sense?

Well at first he sent 2 emails. One that he had a risk free way of sending SRT's too me via an illegal route. The catch was the next email with a quote of 530usd. Iam not sure if it was additional or a top up from initial payment since he hasnt answered this.
Last email was telling me not too worry he will get them here somehow. Dont ya just love how carefree he is all about this from sending live fish to an airport that doesnt accept live fish then requesting another payment too telling me not too worry... aye im not worrying about anything here all sunshine n roses ;/
Meh .. in a way cant be arsed with the fish anymore even if they arrive somehoo and with the way its been going i would not be surprised if they arrived DOA, from being frozen since wheather is getting colder n colder! Iam also expecting another delay on Monday, i would wager high on this ;(

hmm ... just a stab in the dark mate but i think you may have some fry colour up close to mom when they get bigger but most likely majority will not but who knows!!

He now knows the full story.
We came to a deal. Too wait until Tuesday and see if Jan will ship the SRT's too me without a 2nd tranship payment from my behalf and without sending them to an airport that will terminate them.
If they arrive and come DOA. I said refund. Pat said only replacement although he did say refund was an option back in June when first purchased.
Only thing is he doesnt have a full replacement and would take an additional 3-6 months too wait.Already waited over 4months.
So i said i would not wait for a replacement and possibly more stress/delays.A doa on Tue would be final straw that broke camels back and would want a refund.
He said he wont have 350usd to refund.
So i met him in middle since thats how much i be willing to walk away if they arrive DOA. So a refund of 175usd is accepted from Pat if arrived on Tue, Doa.
If Jan still hasnt sent by Tue next week then same thing. A 50% refund and we both walk away and Jan walks away with Srt breeders since Pat said no way he can get them back.

That sucks ass. At least you will get some of your money back. Cichlids are really hardy so as long as they aren't bagged for more than 3 days they have a good chance.

ohh sounds like the transhipper is takin the piss to me!
if i was you i would ask for the half refund if they arrive doa, and an srt when they are ready seems you have paid so much money in this deal! then at least you will have something out of this, seems you have spent the money you should get the product of half at least if ur only getting ur money back! if this is the case you could get half the money and a fish when it is ready. then if you have the money in 3-6 months time you could get the other one srt.
well thats me just chattin me **** lol, like you, if this happend to me i would wanna do something i wouldnt regret, id stamp, stab, cut, soot, run someone over or anything haha. just to make myself feel better haha

if it doesnt work out just put **** uo about wats gone on on mfk about the transhipper (if this happens but got my fingers crossed for ye lad)
Well after waiting close to 4 n half months since paying for the Srt breeders they have arrived this morning!
Ok first thing i noticed was some water had leaked into the polystyrene box. Also there were 4 heatpacks taped under the top lid. Maybe a little overkill here since once i got into the srt bags and the oxygen was totally depleted. it was like someone had not properly sealed them and most of the air had gone out!!
Thought they were both dead just by looking how much air and water had leaked out ....
Opened the 5" female srt bag first and to my amazement she was fine, moving about and seemed lively!DDD
However next was the bigger 8" male green texas... noticed the bag was way too small no room for it too move at all and was on its side due to the size of the bag
and the little amount of water!!
More bag signs .... the green tex wasnt moving at all and barely breathing and very slowly!! I had put 2-3drops of prime water conditioner into both bags as soon as i opened them, this was from the aclimitasing larger fish thread on here
Moved them out into a big bucket each with my perfect clean 125g water,( 0 nitrates, 10% water changes every other day plus 40% water changes on weekend so 320% water changes a month!!) and female was very lively and could tell wanted out so put her into my 125g straight away and she started roaming the tank very happliyDD
However male tex was still no moving, on its side in bad shape((
I quickly grabbed the powerhead and pointed the water movement towards his mouth and gills ... 5 -10mins later he started moving and recovered quite quickly!!! A drastic change from 5-10mins ago ... wooo hoooooooooooo ... hes ALIVE!!! XDDD
As soon as he started moving i put him into the 125 and he was roaming about with the female SRT very happliy
Now 2hrs later they both seem very healthy and beautiful ofc ;D
I noticed the male tex is trying to swim around, into, over the small caves but hes too big so i will alter the landscape to fit his needs ... i got to say this male tex is a beast very strong looking and the pearls, shape and fins are amazing!! Top classD
Female is gorgeous as well so im chuffed tae bits!!
Will post some pics once they settle in ... but for now need some sleep as couldnt sleep a wink last night .. was constantly checking the tracking info .. hoping it wasnt returned back to the transhipper like last time!!

hmm .. just noticed the big male green tex has a badly sunken concave stomach!! Looks like he hasnt eaten for a week .... could be Ips as well!! Anybody know any good ip meds suitable for green tex ?!?! Thanks!

As for the sunken belly, treat with flubendazole. A lot of LFS stock a solution of it for Koi, mine is labelled as NTLabs Koi Care flukasol. Or the same stuff is available online (and a bit cheaper) as Discus Wormer Plus ... http://wormerplus.co.uk/retail_shop/index.php?productID=5
Its the best overall treatment available in the UK for internal and most external parasite and worms IMO. I have not had it fail yet.
