I don't get how you skinned it. It appears as if you built a whole other stand on top of the frame, is that all 3/4 inch ply ? The top looks completely different too.

The skin is attached to the stand using L brackets. What you see on the front and sides isn't taking any weight, so it isn't a whole other stand - merely a facade.

On the top i used the same wood that is on the sides and front of the stand to have it matching. Also on the top i added 3mm ply wood to match the foot print of the 6x2 tank - this was fitted only to keep down an insulation i put there for under the tank and it help take out any imperfections or high spots.

By the way it isn't 3/4 inch ply. It is 1 1/4 oak, the reason i used this was because i found it on a great deal at a local store. It is a bit heavier but i love how it looks.
