I didn't say it wasn't importamt for all fish, most tropical fish can with stand small amounts of it but delicate fish die at even the lowest levels. NO need for arguement here, so I wouldn't bother replying.

So your saying it is OK to put "most tropical fish" into an uncycled tank?

Last time i tested the water was last night, and these were the follwing results:

NO3 : 0-10
NO2 : 0
Ammonia : Ideal
Hardness : Hard
Alkalinity : between 120-180
pH : Neutral

I actually used the test strips for these and please note that these were tested last night. I'm not sure if ya'll noticed, but I put 2 Angel fishes in there to get some bacteria growing before I buy my fish.

I also have another question, would live plants be a good idea for my tank? I'm thinking of getting some. Thanks in advance!

Live plants for a noob, not a good idea.

Realize it take 5 to 6 weeks to cycle a tank using conventional methods

:) Thanks for the tip. Good thing I was so lazy to go out today. I almost went out to go buy some plants. But I will definitely test the water again before I purchase whatever fish I decide in the future.

WTF is a "begginer"?

Again you need to understand the nitrogen cycle, just cause your water tests good means very little. You can get water straight from the tap and have it test good, but that don't mean you can keep fish in it.

How long have you had the tank set up?

Since last night.. approximately about 24 hours.

NO WAY! Although I have when I began keeping fish, they surivived, no way in hell would I reccomend to.

24 hours is not enough, trust me. Wait a month and take water reading. There are other ways to speed up the cycle as well. Like adding small amounts of flake to the tank to decompose and add ammonia. Or you can just get some ammonia in a bottle and add that to the tank. That should speed it up, it's called a fishless cycle and is the safest way.
