600 Gallon All Glass Tank....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hydrofluoric acid is pretty cheap, that'll clear it up ....

Great find on a badass tank. :headbang2
If I had access to a tank that large I would go with fish that can only be housed in a tank that large though... Your stocklist is pretty plain and ordinary for such a monster tank.
I'd think about big cats, rays, aros, ATF... Something along those lines that would really stand out in a big tank.

Hey all.....yup...beer is in order. Problem is football took priority (I coach) over the last few months. My season is done, so I now I can focus on the tank. I've decided to take it all apart and start again. Still gonna take a while.

Tank stock list:
Black ghost knife
Red Oscar
Tiger Oscar
Chocolate Cichlid
Pike Cichlid
Green Sevrum
Green Terror
Common Pleco
2 Gauld's Cichlids
Red Devil (Not sure about him....he may go into the 125 by himself).

Had an aro planned for the tank...but at 4 inches he decided to leap from his humble home. I awoke to find a headless fish in my cat's food dish. :( So, before I go and spend more money on suicidal fish, I'm finishing this tank.

Thats a great project an is going to be a Killer setup, I can dream of a tank that size just dont have the room. It would be perfect for a Aro or two. :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

Someone in this thread mentioned sealing the bottom with pond armor....If I do that, will I be able to take the tank apart agian? (I plan to move in five or six years) Also, will pond armor bond to glass?

I read the pond armor ad, and it says itll bond to "almost anything" (whatever that means)
and anyway, we should be putting snakeheads in "our tank" because the 110 i just got is too small for them. and this way if anyone causes trouble with you, you can stick their digits in the snakehead tank. and maybe some gator gar too...

Just to make sure you know the quoted statement is a joke as HF will eat glass....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrofluoric_acid

Hydrofluoric acid is best known to the public for its ability to dissolve glass by reacting with SiO2, the major component of most glasses.

great stock list--cant wait to see this baby filled..
