Definitely some filtration details. Congrats it came out very nice Jenn. That Knifefish looked like you set him free. How is he adjusting to all the space ?
Do you guys have any plan for decor ? Some big ass pieces of driftwood would look very cool in there. Kinda like vamptrev has.

The knife fish looks like hes out of shape! LOL Poor guy has been healing up in that tub for the last month. He swims around looking so happy and then comes to the front of the tank and just chills on the bottom for a bit, and then repeats. He looks great though.

I currently have several of large pieces of driftwood that I am figuring out how I want them. Its not like you really want to put them in the tank and then try to place them how you want. They will only be in the back corners since swim space is crucial with my large cats. I don't want to take up too much of the bottom, and I'm doing all this to make sure they are comfortable. No reason to defeat the purpose of the tank. :)

One word.. Awesome :headbang2.. tbh.. Can't wait to see your fire eels in that tank eventually!:naughty:

Good news! I tested the water in the 600 and found the tiniest bit of nitrate and thats it. We've got a live one people! So, as soon as I can get the pHs similar my biggest TSN (I think about 25") and my RTCxTSN (I think about 23"). I'll try to get a measurement, but keeping a fish out of the water just to satisfy my curiosity isn't really my thing, especially when they are going through the added stress of being moved into a completely different body of water. I'll be getting the pH, temp, and GH all pretty close before I move them, so there shouldn't be any extra shock other than getting chased down, wrestled with, and relocated. ;)

Currently, the pH's are very different. I've been working on them every day, but I'm being extremely cautious in bringing down the 600, as I have no idea how much a dose actually does. Apparently, not a lot... I'm dosing it at least 2 to 3 times a day and not seeing much difference. However, I'm afraid the moment that they buffering capacity is maxed out, I'm going to see that exponential pH drop. Hopefully, I see some actual change by tonight. There's no way they are getting moved till at least tomorrow though.

As for videos, I'm up to my eyeballs in water changes and fish maintenance ATM, but maybe later tonight I'll get more videos of the setup and go through how this thing is all put together.

What is the PH out of the tap ? Mine is pegged at 8.3 and hard as a rock. We got a few of the same fish. However other areas in Sac. Primarily where I get my fish they have soft water with a PH of 7.0 . I just do a one hour drip acclimation. Never lost a fish that way (Crosses fingers) I have lost fish doing a quicker acclimation type though.

dang...buch of you guys/girls down the road...bout 2hrs. When are we having a meet/tank observation/bbq?

I need to come down and check out your monster 600 and jcardona's cichla 405. So when we doing this.....?
