Lol, all good.
I was generalizing about the EBJD,
Oh I agree, for a 75 you really would want just the O. And typo because I felt like the 2 statements contradicted each other. "They are difficult to keep by them selves" and "they should be kept in their own tank". Unless he ment by the first statement that EBJD are just difficult to keep, in which case I stand by my earlier statement that they get a bad wrap. A lot that people find in LFS are already sick and that's why they are "problem" fish. But again, this is just my experience and what other people I've talked to with many EBJD seem to agree with.
It was a poorly worded post, I have never actually had an ebjd, so I will defer to your experience. I have seen a lot of people have issues keeping the fish healthy long term. If I wanted to keep one, I would probably use a 40g with some dithers. I have always had trouble keeping even small cichlids together in 4' tanks, so I never advise it to others, and imo it is difficult. I know that it can work out, but it is a crap shoot.

Baby colouration of a tiger oscar, it will turn into a regular tiger in time.

If it were me i would only put the oscar (not saying it wont work just ease of maintenance). Over filtration isnt gonna remove the nitrates as the o grows. Keep in mind it may be difficult to get food down to the bichirs. i have two in a 150 with a pearsei (very much like an oscar) and its a pain in the butt to make sure the bichirs get there share. I even use tongs to feed them at times. If i were really wanting that bichir i would only put one in there

See what others say they may have a different outlook than i do.

Or 1 Oscar and 2 delhezi. Which is better?

Okay, I'll consider that. Thanks I really appreciate it! :)

This is probably bad advise and contridicting my other statement lol but i know what its like to want more fish than you can house lol.

I think bichirs are really intelligent i only have a couple of bichirs so not an expert but it only took me a couple of days to train them on how i want them to eat. I use a pipe and tongs sometimes when i want only them to feed and not the pearsei. I trained the smaller bichir to eat in a cave, as soon as he sees the pipe he shoots into his cave i can get vid later on if you want.

Lol, everyone on here wants more fish than they can house except arapaimag!-)
Im still guilty of it, I nearly always have fish that I have no where for, impulse buys ect. But we still have to give good sound advice on threads like these as what we write will be on here as long as mfk is still around for the whole world to see when they are doing research...
