I’m wondering if it would be better to buy a metal or wooden 75g tank stand from the petstore or to just get a sheet of plywood and some cinder blocks. Obviously there’s a big price difference but I’m more concerned on which would be more sturdy and long lasting. I just saw my next paycheck and it’s 430$ after taxes and all other deductions so that plus my already 73$ I should be able to buy a good stand and tank for my flowerhorn. I do want a stand that can hold 2 tanks though because I kinda wanna have my 55g underneath the 75 I’ll be getting and also if it has Space for another tank under the stand then I could much easier transfer daisy to the 75. Any tips, ideas or suggestions everything is appreciated thank you.

Hmmm... I'm using a cinder block stand and plywood top for a 55g for the last 7 years. No issues with the cinder block stand, and much easier to move around since I can take it apart easily. You can build it to hold 2 aquariums.

I don’t know if I’d be able to do that because of the space the tank is going into is the exact size to fit a 55-75g tank. So I was thinking of this. 1EB6802E-D43A-4391-A44E-930E091E84B8.png

Personally it looks like a cheap not durable stand by the pic. I’d recommend building one or buying a nice and sturdy one

That's a lot of money to spend ($400) if you are only putting 1 tank in that spot when compared to a cinder block stand of less than $25. You won't get even 50% of what you spent on that stand when you have to sell the stand with the tank in the future.

or if you don't like the cinder block

$144 and holds 1000lbs per shelf, you can split in half so it won't be as tall (your Dad may find the other half useful so he can split the cost with you).
