thanks for sharing.... bro mine looks like that....the yellow and spot..is just when you use camera..flash >yellow and some of the color washed away...I am confident is a kelberi...and yes is like other fish...some are better looking or different color or marking than the rest....we will see..and I will post more pictures this time without flash ...also I know that bare tanks got something to do with it's color....maybe I will put a dark gravel just too see if the color will be different..

put black ceramic tile down so you could easily apply and take it away...

i never take pics with flash for that reason.

my kelberi looks totally different.. he is a beast but only if he gets picked on and he eats differently then all the others. he is more of a stalk and strike which i love but it is a pain in the ass. honeslty if i bought more i would of just kept kelberis for this reason. he never waits at the top of the tank like all the others. he sits at the bottom to middle area.. he looks at his food first then races to the top strike turns and jets right back down. i have a bold snakeskin pattern forming along the top of his back along with 3 super bold yellow lines forming on his tail and bold yellow spangling coming out on his back soft dorsal fin ...mine looks like its going to be a kelberi to me... i think water quality and ph plays a big role in the coloration and patterns in these fish.

Mine is the same way. Its gotta be something in the batch we got. Mine still wont turn at prep food, only live. But he does miss out on alot of food by being the way he is. The only way he can get a feed is if I commit the sin of dumping multiple feeders at once. If I do the one at a time thing Ill be out of feeders by the time the mono and orinos have had their fill. I think the bigger fish intimidate him so he waits...looking back I wish I could have bought like 3 of these guys and kept them in their own tank to growout, or bought one of the smaller ones and grew it out on its own. Probly wouldnt be having as many issues converting. I even tried dividing the tank with him by himself, he barely ate when I did that, and just walking up to the tank freaked him out so bad that he would get over / around the divider at any cost. Mine is way different than the other 2 species I have in just about every way. Starting to show alot of solid gold outlines around all the black markings, but the only spangling is in the tail. Do we have Kelberi? I beleive we do, but I do not think that we got a batch that is going to be overly showy like some of the ones weve seen. Time will tell.
