I wouldn`t shop at that pet store anymore then, lol

... I dam near wet myself on this one LOL LOL LOL

I agree with every other member or member to be.... the stock you are thinking of will not work in that little tank. 1 piece of poop will spike your params like crazy Lol.

If you do actually go with a fish over .0001", I say add a canister filter to it:D (atleast something bigger than the filter it came with)

I agree. I am currently using a Cascade 500 on my 3.5 gal. :headbang2

Proof....... (:D)

I still say no fish in the 8 gallon though. I like the idea of plants with shrimp:naughty:

Off topic here, but wow. I am impressed with a cascade 500 on a 3.5 gal!
Haha, yeah, when I bought the tank, I was going to buy a filter rated for 10 gallons, but then I remembered that I had that Cascade just laying around, so I saved myself the extra $20. :)

What can survive in that? A lot of force being applied....

I don't believe she is stupid either. just uneducated in fish. she gives off the impression our opinions, the one that she asked for, do not matter. why ask our opinion if she's just gonna do what she wants anyway. like i said point-less thread. and like i said i won't be surprised if her first batch of fish in this 8 gal tank die. with such a small tank the water chemistry is going to be much easier to fluctuate and with the amount of knowledge that she has shown in regards to fish i don't think they're gonna make it. just my opinion. good luck loves severums. that's all i can say since u don't seem to take advice so well

Not really as much as you'd expect, it basically just a strong trickle, so it's not like the fish are (well actually "is") being pushed around the tank. My stock is 1x danio rerio, and an ivory mystery snail. The danio is the last remaining member of my former 220g cycling crew, and I figured I'd let it live rather than leaving it to be picked off by my TT eel as the others were, but the biggest tank I had room for was a 10g, which I decided was overpriced (the tank itself was $13, but with hoods & lights it was about $40), so I just got the biggest kritter keeper I could find, and used that instead. Here are some really poor quality pics I took a couple minutes ago (my new d3000's auto feature is awful, and I don't feel like dealing with manual settings atm):

btw, sorry for taking so long with the pics, they took while to upload.
