He also stated if he raised it up to see in it would be just another DIY tank and that's not what he wanted...;)

I have a thought.... Under the liner, I wonder if you could use a floor heating system like the ones they use in home improvment shows. I have never done a pond, but I think it could work.

excellent work mate, this is exactly the way i am going to do mine but i was thinking windows all round, but then i thought it would mess with the structure a bit so top veiw will have to do.

as i can see from our pics there isnt a problem with seeing the fish, looks awsome great job :thumbsup:

You could either put the heater into the filter, or put the heater in a pvc pipe in the pond.
 
I second putting it in the sump or filter. I try to hide as much equipment in the skimmer boxes or sump when possible.
