ok so i NEED help with pumps which ones to go with . also what turn over rate should i shoot for gph? i am not sure but i think that with natives i am not supposed to have alot of current ????

depends, some peoplke argue that a faster turnover rate is better some people say slower is better. i personnally prefer slower, something along the lines of 3 to 4 times an hourse, so people ive seen go as high as 10

itll work, just one question, are you going to have a filter sock or any kind of mechanical filtration in ur first chamber where you have IN written? it would be a good idea to have something to keep your drip plate and biologicasl media from getting clogged

Perfect glad to know its going to work thank-you and as far as the in section I am using filter socks and I am also going to use a filter pad on top of the drip plate . There will also be strainers on the intake side of the pumps just incase any plant matter slips tru

sounds like itll work great

OK so as far as pumps go i looked into the maxi-jet 4500 seeing that the tank is about 300 gallons that means that i should have about 1100 gph on each overflow that means 2200 gph total should be around 7 times per hour turn over ...
i looked into the quietone 6000 also so if anyone has feedback on them please let me know i am leaning towards the maxi due to the fact that a friend has two of them and loves them ... Also i think i saw somewhere that na natives dint like heavy current ??????? . I went with an about #'s on the gph and turnover rates just to be on the safe side all #'s are shy of actual spec ...

some NA american natives dont like it, others do... it all depends on your stock. fish that inhabit lakes and such probablly prefer less current, where as species such as brook trout require a stronger current, and very clean water.... look at their natural habitat and you should be able to deduce what kind of current you need in your tank.
