The phones went dead for about 2 minutes and everyone was scared... about 10 minutes later the loud speakers came on and we were told to stay in the building. Me and some guy said hell nah we left down the stairs, the elevators were jam packed.. it took us 15 minutes to walk down the stairs and in like 3 minutes of walking the building shook again but this time we thought it was coming down... Everyone in the stairways were screaming and a couple people crying because the impact of the plane hitting the building was felt (we did not know it was a plane yet) I was 17 at that time and I was doing my internship that day (3 days a week until 1 then school until 4) and i will never forget that day. sometimes i think what if i had stayed in the building.. what would have happenned to me.. actually i was more worried about my sister who worked in the 2nd tower (first to get hit) 32nd floor i could not find her but she walked to queens to my uncles house I also sometimes wonder what happened to some of the people who i used to see in the elevator who worked in the upper levels
Sorry about the rambling but its just my story of how i will remember september 11
