The nature of this type of thread is not directed at literally expelling your thoughts about what you have to do today. This is not a laundry list. If today means nothing to you as a memorial day, keep your mouth shut and move on to the next thread. You will not be received well if you say you don't care about today, no matter what words you use to express it. I know that many many people will agree.

You can't stop people from saying what they feel whether it's it goes along with what you feel or whether they've got very little feelings about this day. It was an honest question and I personally took the original question as how do you feel about today. Not one person here posting how they feel even if they're not dwelling this day as much as you has been rude in their answer.

There have been many many tragedys in america but I wouldn't post in a thread asking how you feel on the anniversary date of one of a tragedy, and basically say that if you don't feel connected to one of them to "keep your mouth shut and move along"

Mike just wondering why they don't want to say the pledge?

they think it is stupid, that they hate America or government... mad the government makes them go to school, they think they are too good to pledge... one student said he hates bush so he will not pledge to America... I really wish their parents would teach them... I almost make them do it, but asking them write a paper telling me why they do not want to say the pledge, or we will do it again if they are not loud enough as a group...

Dyamn! That must be tough dealing with them some times. Big up to you man.

Bigspizz, I don't care about you or your feelings, you misunderstood me. I care about the memory of this day, and its meaning to so many Americans (you not included apparently). You cited free speech in the same breath you disagreed with my view. Do you know what irony is?

bro just because 9-11 doesn't mean the same to you both doesn't mean you aren't both americans and possess the right to freedom of speech. He could hate bush/the war/etc but be all for the founding rights of this country. Patriotism isn't measured by what 9-11 means to you.

Tell them they will regret it when they get older. (seed them) And moreover, challenge them to come see you when they are 30 and see if they feel the same way, or respect your efforts.....You are the man, and I bet they respect you more than you know......

Is that really what you took from what I said? If you didn't care about as much as you say,.....you would not take the time to clarify. Me not included? Re read what I put and then re post please.

I never said your view was un wanted or not allowed,....just dismissed it as jargin thats all......

I do not agree.....We can feel how we want (Americans any how), when we want, about whatever we want. If you feel nothing feel free to say that, If you are angry, do the same. (only black and white in stone rules apply "UN written" ones however do not.....)

Please don't take away our freedom of expression as you are not qualified to do so....

Where did I take away your right to express your self here? When did I proclaim I was "un" effected by the events? I took on the best this site has to offer (at risk of being banned from the site I dearly love) On this topic. :chillpill: :chillpill: :chillpill: :chillpill:

Telling anyone to "keep there mouth shut" will not be recieved well, no matter what words you choose.......

I really do not understand how any of you can argue about innocent people just going to work on sept 11th 2001 and losing their lives in such a horrific way.. many of those people just like you and me.. not involved in politics, not involved with war.. just people earning a living ... their lives snuffed out .. no reason but the insanity of terror from people who have no regard for human life.. i watched that for real horror and those towers were hit.. i saw those people jumping to their death so they did not have to perish in the inferno around them.. how horrific it all was..this was different then war.. war your prepared..for war you are trained.. for war you know your enemy.. this was done on a gorgeous fall day.. this is what i remenber and i will not forget.. and as americans we all should remenber what happened that day..
