Wow!! Your Ornatum is beautful, and so is the Festae. I can wait for mines to grow up. Your pictures are inspirational that's for sure I watch mines grow every day, and hope to see one day that it turns out like yours

I am no expert, but I agree with the OP that it is a male, don't females tend to have more black on the dorsal fin than that, typically where the fin meets the body?

Someone clear this up, I am by no means qualified to sex festae. Regardless, beautiful fish.

I only thought female because of the orange color and the constant baring in the pics. Mine isn't orange and only shows his bars when spawning. But I don't have him in a community tank setting. That one also has some blue spangling on the side like males so idk.
