I've never kept a flowerhorn so therefore I know nothing about them, but that is a beautiful fish, great color.

They are cool fish, but very aggressive. Some people keep them with other fish, but I cannot do that with mine. He is too angry!

My brother has a nice M and F pair, that he has to keep separated from each other and everything else.

Do a search for them; there are many variations. I personally do not like the crazy, huge kok ones. Mine has a little one and I am fine with it.

Hey dude, just curious as to how you go about taping that background to your tank? You've really piqued my interest and I'm considering doing this for my future tank, likely all black, but I like how that black/red looks too.

Fully tape the top of the foil to the trim. Tape the top 1/3 of the sides and leave the bottom 2/3 loose so it will stay off the glass a few inches. It will add an illusion of depth.

I have black on my 120 and 200, but they are fully taped down the sides.

I really dig the look of all 3 of your tanks dude, very nice, the background works well.

Also, forgot to ask. You list the substrate that you use for this tank as CaribSea Cichlid Sand Substrate....however in my search I cannot find this same substrate. Just curious if you know what the exact name is (maybe that's it and I'm just bad with my detective skills), and any chance you know if they make it in black?

That fish looks really healthy and strong colors. Love the yellow/green on the face. That's trimac's beauty trait.
