We are going for a undergravel filter as well as fx5 small gravel and 2 x 300 watt heaters:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:WHOA::WHOA:

the tank is on 3x3in fence posts with 8 legs mitred at the joints and bolted together and fix to wall with steellbracketts then it will be on 30mm black Granite so very flat and very strong!

the base does look a bit wobble but the tank is only 19inch wide so it may be ok

i dont think a 19inch wide is going to be big enought for aros

he is only small at the mo and we do realise that it wont be a home for life but hes gonna take a while to get there we hope to move to a bigger home and then build him a pool indoors!

You dont have a clue I told you on another forum that the tank is not big enough for a silver so you find another site. People do not upgrade when they say they are gonna that tank is no where near big enough for your silver and for one thing it looks like its gonna fall apart.

look what do you want me to do flush the fish i cant just get shot of him i have tried i just keep adverising him if you dont like it the dont comment im board of your nasty comments iv already explained myself more than enough!
"one thing it looks like its gonna fall apart." i said its not finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya Sid.sarah,

I like the tank, and I think the stand will be okay as it is in the corner, and supported on 2 sides by the wall.
The tank will be good for quite a few years, 19 inches wide isn't ideal, but a lot better than a lot of other tanks that people keep aros in. You might be lucky and have an aro that doesn't get much beyond 24 inches, if that is the case, I would say you will be okay for a very long time, remember, as they reach 24 inches or so, the growth rate rapidly slows, so I am sure you will have him for a long time.
If people say that a 24 inch wide tank is good for life, then I am sure that your tank will be good for quite a few years, your aro will have plenty of space to swim up and down the tank, so he will be happy, of that I am sure.
Good luck with the tank and stand, and I hope the aro enjoys it.

I have had my silver for about 6 months now, he was about 8 inches long when I got him, and now he is about 16 inches long, and starting to get some real depth on his body.

All the best, and don't listen to all the comments, as I think your tank will be good for quite a few years.

Mike.

The stand will support the weight of the tank and water, you will need to add some cross bracing though, without it the stand could fall to the side and all the legs will fold under. That tank will be an upgrade from what your aro is in now, but as I mentioned before once you aro gets up above the 24" mark you will realize that the tank is too narrow. Good news is you will have at least a year to upgrade.

Ohh umm that stand is crap, you need to reinforce it.

What's your deal Justin? By reading what you've posted the last few days I know you are an extreme "Noob". Now you may be right about the stand, but instead of just insulting someone why not give some helpful info? Or do you just have none to give?
