The stand will support the weight of the tank and water, you will need to add some cross bracing though, without it the stand could fall to the side and all the legs will fold under.

I was going to say exactly what he said about the cross reinforcement. Better safe than sorry, plus I can see that the tank is in a bedroom. I always wanted to sleep beside my fishes...

Good luck on your project and have fun doing it (the safe way). People on here sometimes get very rude for no reason :screwy:

Hi mark + Bderick67+ EKen53
Thanks very much for you nice comments! you made me feell allot better somepeople just cant be nice i dont know why they even comment if there is nothing nice to say! We bought our aro because we saw it in a shop it was in a tank with a shole of silver dollas he was about 6" max this was about november time we were not sure if he would even live as he had been bullied and fin niped but he did and now he is around 10 - 11 " and growing fast!
we love him but will not keep him if for any reson he's not happy! (WE ARE NOT BAD PEOPLE)
i did informed my bf about the cross sections, we were indeed worried about the stand but we have never made a tank stand before let alone one that has to support over a ton!
Its not finished yet we still have shelves and cuboard doors too fix, will this make it more stable??????
thanks for looking and you time and kindness
i think i should have waited to post pictures but i was to excited!
